Creamy, spicy, delicious shredded tofu that tastes just like shredded buffalo chicken!
Ingredients
Shredded Tofu
- 1 16 oz. super firm tofu
- spray avocado oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
Buffalo Salad
- 2 tbs vegan mayo, or to taste
- 2 tbs red hot sauce, or to taste
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 tbs parsley, chopped
Method
- 1)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees (F). While your oven is heating, grate your tofu into a bowl using the large shreds of a grater.
- 2)
After your tofu is grated, spray in a little oil, add the salt, pepper, and garlic powder and mix gently so the shreds don’t break. Spread onto a greased or lightly lined baking sheet. You can also shred the tofu right onto the baking sheet and then lightly spray oil and sprinkle seasonings over it.
- 3)
Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 30-35 minutes. Mixing/flipping about half way through.
- 4)
Once the tofu is browned, remove from the oven and let cool.
- 5)
In a bowl, mix the mayo, buffalo sauce, green onion, parsley, and salt & pepper to taste. Add the shredded tofu, mix well, and enjoy! I made this into a sandwich, but you could eat with tortilla chips, crackers, on potatoes, or on it’s own!
